Welcome to The Palm Beach County SLAA Intergroup Site
S.L.A.A., also known as the Augustine Fellowship, is an anonymous Fellowship open to anyone who wishes to develop a sane sexual, social and emotional life, anyone who wishes to recover from sex and love addiction or anorexia (avoidance behavior). Using the Twelve Steps for recovery, adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous, we offer a solution. Sex and love addiction includes a variety of patterns: compulsive sexual behavior, unmanageable relationships, romantic obsession, emotional dependency, and/or sexual, social and emotional anorexia to name a few. We find a common denominator in our effort to seek help and recovery, and we welcome people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. You are welcome here. Although our patterns may be different, what we all have in common is that we are powerless over our distorted thoughts, feelings and behavior. Whether single or in a partnership, this powerlessness creates unmanageability, pain and confusion. In S.L.A.A. we join with others who share their experience, strength, and hope that each of us may grow into more happy and healthy individuals.
